Here at B&B Mini Storage, we strive to provide the best customer service around. Therefore we have compiled a list of the top self storage frequently asked questions we have heard throughout the years to better assist you in your storage experience. If you do not see your question in the list below, please reach out and we will be happy to answer any questions you have.

What size unit will I need?

We understand it can be hard to visualize the storage space you will need so we are here to help. Our staff is here to assist you in determining the proper storage unit size suitable for you and your needs.

What is needed to get started?

All we need to get started are approved ID’s and just a few short minutes filling out an application. Afterwards we will then explain all of our terms and answer any of questions you may have.

Is there a minimum rental requirement?

We do not have a minimal rental requirement as a result we provide month-to-month or yearly rentals.

Do I have to wait until the first of the month to get into my unit?

No, if we have units available throughout the month, we can prorate the charge for the remaining days of the month from the time you move in.

How can I make payments?

We accept cash, checks, money orders and most major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard and Discover).

Payments can be mailed or made in person (or placed in our secure dropbox) at our PERU Business Office located at 1051 38th Street. We also accept credit and debit cards payments over the phone.

Can I sign-up for automatic payments?

Yes, we accept automatic payments, with a signed agreement. We can charge your Credit or Debit card on file between the 1st and 4th of each month.

When can I access my storage unit?

We offer easy drive-up access units therefore making your unit available 24/7/365.

However, we have set office hours Monday through Friday 10am-4pm, Saturday 9am-1pm and we are closed on Sundays.

Before and after hours appointments can be made with our team to better suit your schedule upon request.

What does it cost to rent?

We offer competitive pricing dependent on size. As a result, please call 815-223-0766 for the most up to date pricing.

Do you require a deposit?

There is a small deposit required for each unit rented, however, this will be refunded (pending any damage/breech contract) at the time of move out.

Will you mail monthly bills?

We do not send out a monthly bill so we expect you to pay when rent is due which is 1st of the each month. However a late fee will be added for any late payments received on or after the 5th of the month. 

What are the hidden fees I should worry about?

There are no hidden fees, as long as you continue to pay rent on time. However, we will add fees for late payments and collection of past due accounts.

Do you provide locks?

We do not provide locks for renters. You must provide your own lock, which provides you with even more security.
